Upper Years Education
Welcome to the Upper Years
Middle School (Grades 6-8)
With the guidance of diverse local and seasonal specialist mentors, our maturing Upper Years students are invited to assume greater responsibility, self-direction, and leadership. Passion-driven research, personal projects, and an introduction to mindful educational technologies are new layers to their learning trajectories. Formal evaluation, home learning, and social-emotional coaching sessions are all introduced in Upper Years to add accountability & depth to their studies.
Core Academic Courses
All Upper Years Core teachers co-create each themed Trimester learning cycle together, ensuring interdisciplinary connections and overlay to deepen understanding.

English Literature, Composition, and Oral Communication: Literature Study, Writer’s Workshop across the genre, Speech & Debate
Spanish Humanities: Immersive fluency development, Latin American history, indigenous cultural studies
